๐Ÿšง HARSHER BORDER RESTRICTIONS FOR VICTORIANS๐Ÿšง

From noon today, people who have visited Victoria in the last 14 days will no longer gain access or be able to quarantine in Queensland. They will be turned around at the border.

Queenslanders returning from Victoria will still be required to quarantine for 14 days at their OWN EXPENSE.

These restrictions have been put in place to protect the great work we have done to flatten COVID-19 cases in Queensland.

A little birdie told me that it was World Chocolate Day yesterday ๐Ÿฆ so on my way to work this morning, I popped in to see Lee at my local SPAR Express Studio Village for a hot chocolate and some sweet chocolatey treats for my amazing team at work ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿฅฎ When it comes to chocolate, it's better late than never!

The double choc chip muffins and box of Roses chocolates were a welcome sight for the team as they head into a super busy wild and whacky Wednesday ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ˜œ

Not only was my team happy, but so was Lee. Shopping at my local Spar is supporting small local businesses and keeping Queenslanders in jobs ๐Ÿ˜

A fresh round of the $150 Fairplay Vouchers are now available โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ‰

Getting kids back into sport is an important part of our community uniting and recovering from COVID-19.

Not only do these vouchers help struggling families, they also act as a mini stimulus for our local economy.

“What drives Tracey is ensuring that people get a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work by creating good, stable jobs in her community and looking after those who are most vulnerable.”

About Tracey

Tracey has lived on the Gold Coast for over 20 years and raised her two children locally.

Raising two children on her own while studying and working up to three jobs at a time to make ends meet, Tracey understands the challenges that many people are facing.

Having worked for twenty years as an Early Childhood Educator and advocate, Tracey is a Director of a local early education centre and believes all children – regardless of their background – deserve the best start in life.

What drives Tracey is ensuring that people get a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work by creating good, stable jobs in her community and looking after those who are most vulnerable.

Tracey has been instrumental in advocating for pay rises for early childhood educators – some of the nation’s lowest paid workers and is running as a candidate because she wants to be the voice of local families and ensuring people are getting to and from work faster, are able to access front line services, and their children have access to a world class education.
